DESCRIPTION:Assessment Overview\nIn order to attend the RYA Powerboat Instr
 uctors' Course\, candidates must first have attended and successfully pass
 ed the Powerboat Instructor Skills Assessment (PISA).   This will ensure
  that candidates have the powerboat driving skills required of an instruct
 or.  These skills are based on the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course skills. 
  Candidates considering enrolling on an RYA Powerboat Instructors Course s
 hould ensure that they possess driving skills to the required standard.  
 The assessment will be conducted by an RYA Powerboat Trainer and is valid 
 for 1 year from the date it is taken.\nMinimum Age\n18\nRequirements\nCand
 idates for the pre-entry assessment will be expected to demonstrate compet
 ence in the following manoeuvres during the Powerboat Instructor Skills As
 sessment:\n\n 	Hold off a mark\n 	Pick up and secure to a buoy\n 	Moor alo
 ngside up/downtide\n 	Turn using warps\n 	Turn in a confined space\n 	Reco
 ver a person in the water dummy\n 	Stop/start engine\n 	Planing speed runs
  including 'Figure 8\, U and S turns.\n\nExperience\nTo attend the Powerbo
 at Instructors Course\, candidates require five seasons experience of powe
 rboating logged (preferably in range of boat types and sizes) or one seaso
 n for those who use powerboats as an integral part of their normal full-ti
