About Own Boat Tuition
PPSA is able to offer ‘Own Boat Tuition’ for those who wish to improve their skills in specific areas or if required undertake the Level 2 (Powerboat Helm) Course in their own boats – please see the caveats below.
We would always recommend the the full 2 day course is conducted in our own Highfield RIB. However, provided that the boat being used for ‘Own Boat Tuition’ does not have integral accommodation/galley facilities, each request for this tuition will be considered on a case by case basis.
Vessels that are used for Own Boat Tution must compley with the following:
- Be insured for ‘training’
- Must have the minimum RYA Safety Equipment (a list can be provided on request)
- The owner remains as ‘skipper’ for the duration of the training.
Assumed Knowledge
No prior knowledge is required.
Duration
Half day, full day and 2 day (Level 2) training can be provided depending on requirements
