Skippered Charter
Exlpore the wonderful Cleddau estuary by underaking a skippered charter in Valkyrie, our Beneteau First Class 8. We’ll provide the skipper and a member of the crew to make sure your trip is as comforatable and informative as it can be.
We’ll meet you at Neyland Yacht Haven, provide you with safety equipment and a briefing and then take you westward along the Cleddau waterway to the area of Dale/Watwick/Angle where, depending on the tide and weather you’ll be able to go for a short ‘run ashore’ to enjoy the local area before a return trip to disembark.
You can book a skippered charter by going to the link given below or give us a call/message to discuss your requirements
Valkyrie
Valkyrie is a Beneteau First Class 8, a One-Design keelboat designed in 1982 by Group Finot and Jacques Fouroux and constructed at Beneteau’s shipyard. It was one of Europe’s most competitive sailing classes, with more than 1,000 units sold between 1982 and 1994.
Valkyrie was designed as a racing keelboat, but we’ve added some features and additional safety equipment to make it more comfortable for charters, but it is still a competitive keelboat. It’s small, compact and racey. We can take up to 4 passengers/clients in addition to our skipper and crew member.
Lifejackets and waterproofs will be provided to ensure your safety and comfort and we’ll send you a complete set of joining instructions when you sign up for the charter to let you know what to bring.
You can either bring your own lunch or we can arrange for lunch to be provided (at an extra cost), just let us know and we’ll forward a menu to you.
Our Skippers
Our experienced skippers all hold the RYA Day Skipper or higher qualification and they’ve undergone all the relevant training to allow them to operate on a commercial basis. Between them they have many years of sailing experience. PPSA crew members are also qualified sailors that have undergone specialist training to ensure your safety on board.
Charter Fee
You will be chartering Valkyrie for the day. The fee is fixed for the use of the vessel and crew and not per person. The fees are given in the link below. In the event that the weather precludes your charter, we’ll endevour to find alternative dates or re-imburse the charter fee. See the Terms and Conditions on your Joining Instructions.
