Powerboat Level 2 Commercial Package

Description

 

For those individuals who intend to work on the water, PPSA can put together a package that will allow you to apply for a commercial endorsement to your powerboat level 2 qualification.  This commercially endorsed PB2 certificate will allow  you to work up to 3 nautical miles to sea from a nominated departure point (also depending on the coding of your vessel).

To commercially endorse your PB2 you will require:

• Your Powerboat Level 2 (Helm) certificate.
• The VHF Short Range Certificat (SRC).
• A relevant, MCA recognised First Aid Certificate.
• The Basic RYA Sea Survival Certificate
• The Professional Practices and Responsibilites Certificate.
• An ML5 Medical Certificate from your GP or MCA approved doctor
• The application form to the RYA.

Powerboat Level 2

VHF SRC Course

This is the interactive Marine Radio VHF/DSC course for the short Range Certificate (SRC) that allows the legal use of Marine VHF/DSC radios.

RYA First Aid

This is a one day RYA First Aid Course that provides the leisure sailor/water user and commercial operator with first aid skills for use in a water based environment.

RYA Basic Sea Survival

By the end of the RYA Basic Sea Survival course you will have a good knowledge of the safety equipment carried on small boats and the techniques needed to survive at sea in heavy weather.

Professional Practices and Responsibilities

On completion you will understand your duty of care and legal responsibilities to crew, passengers and other water users.
